Dear Dr. Kenny:
In the enclosed letter from April 20, 2004, I appealed the recommendation from October 22, 2003, by the Director of Human Resource Services, Lynn M. Johnson, not to initiate disciplinary hearings against the four senior faculty members of the Department of Geosciences. I also asked you to confirm receiving this letter. Since I have not received a confirmation or an answer, I must assume that the letter was lost. Therefore, I am sending this reminder by a different carrier.
I believe that the University has an obligation to fully address the abuse that I suffered in the hands of the senior members of the Department of Geosciences and make every effort to at least alleviate the severe consequences resulting from this abuse that destroyed my scientific career and brought financial ruin to my family. Since it occurred with the full participation by the EAR staff of the NSF, the enclosed documentation now also contains my correspondence with the NSF addressing this, including the most recent communication with the Acting Director of NSF, Dr. Arden L. Bement.
I hope that you consider my request with the utmost seriousness it deserves and thank you for your kind attention on this matter.
Sincerely yours,
Tibor Gasparik
